Breastfeeding Resources, Preparation, Obstacles, Accessories and More

Thank you for visiting our site today!
We would love for you to sign up for our email list and join our Facebook page so that you don’t miss any updates!

Note: I am a huge breastfeeding advocate.  I encourage all mothers (first time or not) to give it a try.  I strongly feel that most women can breastfeed and overcome many obstacles that may be put in the way.  However, I also do not condemn women who choose not to breastfeed or stop breastfeeding for whatever reason.  I still love you, and you are still welcome here.  This post is simply meant to encourage those women who DO breastfeed (or have the desire to).

As women, one of the most natural things our bodies were created to do is feed our babies.  Not only do we carry and nurture the baby in the womb, but we are then able to care for and feed the baby when she arrives.  Our bodies are truly amazing and well designed.

I've had the privilege of nursing 2 children so far.  My first weaned at 13 months (she's my super independent one) and my second nursed for 24 months (she's a little more needy..haha).

I realize that although it's a natural thing, it doesn't always come naturally or easily.  I'd like to offer you some support and good reading on this subject from fellow bloggers (all with permission).  Hopefully this round-up post will help and encourage you or a friend!  :)

Nursing Accessories

Breastfeeding is one of the most frugal things a family can choose to do.  However, there are a few things that can be purchased to help a nursing family out.  You do not NEED any of the following things, however they do make things a little easier.  Most of these links are my Amazon affiliate link which means that if you purchase through the link I will earn a small percentage (at no extra cost to you - and often cheaper for you).

Are you a nursing family?  What other resources do you use for breastfeeding support?  Leave us a link in the comments so we can all learn together!

The views in the above posts are not my own.  Though I do not agree 100% with everything written in each post, I feel that it is still worth sharing and can still help a struggling mother.
